Gilead ile Hayat Bulan Fikirler Programı’na yapmış olduğumuz, “Lösemi kök hücrelerinde MEIS ekspresyon profilinin belirlenmesi ve MEIS inhibitörlerinin
etkisinin incelenmesi” başlıklı projemiz; değerlendirme kurulu tarafından değerlendirilerek 74.000 TL katkı almaya hak kazanmıştır.

Our project titled "Determining the MEIS expression profile in leukemia stem cells and examining the effect of MEIS inhibitors in LSCs" was evaluated by the evaluation board and received TL 74.000 contribution by Gilead ile Hayat Bulan Fikirler Program.

Successful completion of this study will allow understanding of molecular pathways involved in heart regeneration and provide tools to address prospect of heart regeneration. September 2015- Dr. Kocabas was awarded by ICGEB - CRP Research Grants Programme 2015. 
Dr. Kocabas`s application titled "Development of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Expansion Technologies" to The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology - Early Career Return Grant application  has been approved.  Successful completion of this study will allow development of novel tools to expand HSCs ex vivo.

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) has awarded Dr. Kocabas within Career Development Program to conduct his research on development of cardiogenic inhibitors that will induce cardiomyocyte proliferation in vitro. Successful completion of this project will provide a platform to develop therapeutical approaches towards induction of cardiac repair in vivo. Award includes a total of 340000 TL to be used towards equipment and consumable purchases, travel, and scholarships in two years.
